Is it real? Is it fake? To be honest I don’t care but I did laugh my ass off…
Like cool things? We do!
Here's a list of things we consider "Freakn' Sweet"
IdeaPaint: Draw on the walls like the kid you are
By cwhitmore | Posted August 28th, 2010 at 11:41 pm
As some of you may or may not know my “day job” is @ Matchbox Design Group where we use white boards everyday. (usually for stick figures) We’re currently in the process of moving offices and when we found this stuff we thought it was ingenious. Instead of having to hang the white boards, frame them and make sure they’re level… Brent…. , you can just paint the wall with IdeaPaint ($30-$175). Of course it can be used in places other than an office wall, say maybe the kitchen, garage, kid’s room or even your coffee table which I’ll be doing shortly.

This ain’t yo mama’s dishrack
By cwhitmore | Posted August 17th, 2010 at 12:09 am

That’s right, I just went there, but this thing is sweet! Sometimes it’s the simplest things that stand out and this one is “Dishrack” created by DBA. They worked really hard on that name…
A dense concentration of rods useful for holding cutlery and thin glassware fades evenly to a spacing large enough to accommodate bowls, plates and pans. A flexible mesh connects the posts, allowing the structure to be twisted open and rinsed. The excess water drains into a tray beneath, which can be easily emptied and cleaned. Both the main body and the tray are recycled polypropylene.

The Best Mobile Apps for the 2010 World Cup
By cwhitmore | Posted June 9th, 2010 at 11:11 pmFootball, soccer, the hooligans game - whatever you call it, the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa is about to help boost beer sells everywhere. This madness that only comes every four years is just two days away and I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait! The last couple weeks now my friends and I have been talking about how we’re going to follow the games. Some said they’re going to catch the first game at the International Tap House (who is opening their doors at 9am), some on the couch at home or if you’re like me, stuck at work and wishing you were at a bar at 9am. The one that really stood out to me was the answer, “On my phone.” I mean why not we do pretty much everything else on our phones and hell, if you’ve got an EVO you can even watch the match live on ESPN Mobile using Sprint TV. OK, for those of you that know me or follow Freakn’ Sweet, you know I’m a phone geek so it shouldn’t be a surprise that this got me thinking:
What are the best mobile apps for following the 2010 World Cup?
Read on to find out.

iPhone 4 Gets Official, launching June 24 for $199
By cwhitmore | Posted June 7th, 2010 at 10:01 pm
It’s no surprise that Apple unveiled its new iPhone 4 ($200-$300) today and it looks just like we expected. I’m still a die hard Android fan but after seeing this I guess I should take back a couple of those mean things I’ve said about Apple over the past couple months. Hardware wise this new bread takes a huge leap forward with features like an Apple A4 processor, app multitasking, 7 hours of talk time, a backlit 5-megapixel camera with an LED flash and 720p video recording (and iMovie), a front-facing camera for FaceTime video calls, an eye-popping 960 x 640 Retina display, a glass front and back and stainless steel body, and one of the skinniest profiles on the market.
So now that you want this, here’s what you need to know. They hit AT&T on June 24th and will be available in white or black, retailing at $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for 32GB. The 3GS will be dropped to $99 and the 3G will disappear completely. Pre-orders start in a week, with 5 countries at launch (US, France, Germany, UK, Japan), with 18 more following in July.
Check out the full press release after the break.

Dogfish Head Beer Soap
By cwhitmore | Posted May 26th, 2010 at 8:54 pm
Who doesn’t want to smell like beer all day? Dogfish Head understands this and they’ve come to the rescue with handmade and cut Dogfish Head Beer Soap ($5). It’s made with their 90 Minute IPA (one of my favorite beers), ground hops and barley. This soap also contains oils of palm, coconut, rice bran and olive, and essential oils of lavender, rosemary, and fir. So don’t worry, you won’t smell like you’ve been drinking, unless of course you’ve been drinking.
Now it’s no secret that the Freakn’ Sweet and Beer:30 crew is full of craft beer fans so we find this pretty awesome. Beats the hell out of Guinness Soap in my book .
