
Not only am I a fan of single malt scotch, I’m also a fan of creative design. The Highland Park 50 Year Old (£10,500; roughly $16,800) takes both of these to a whole new level. Sparing no expense for this anniversary edition, it arrives in a hand-carved oak box with Sterling silver portholes to give you a glimpse of it’s unique handmade bottle inside. The bottle is encased in an intricate weave of Sterling silver protecting that precious mahogany colored whiskey, rich and spicy tannins… alright, I’m starting to drool.

Southwest Airlines Saves an Otherwise Terrible Day

It is a terrible truism that I, we, all of mankind has tried to understand since the existence of our first sentience moment. People have tried to say that it’s just the way life is and moved on. Some people say that it is in the nature of humanity to be bad and have bad things happen. I believe that bad things happen to good people to keep them good. When bad things happen we are shown humanity and shown the full spectrum of what life is. If there is anything that is taken away from those terrible situations it should be an understanding of what is possible and a thankfulness for what remains.
Sometimes…well sometimes we are allowed to see things that we would have never been able to see otherwise. We are able to learn, appreciate, and understand people. Such is the case of “Nancy” and Southwest Airlines. Those of you know me personally, know that I am not an emotional person. This is a story that does warm my heart though and makes me want to only fly Southwest (which I’m a huge fan of already). Nancy had a murder in her family and called Southwest to let them know.
