Well, I may be stretching that a bit given that it’s actually a candle but this Light Bulb Candle designed by Helbert Ferreira, Remi Melander of System Design STUDIO is a sweet piece of work.  It screws into a standard socket and looks like a real bulb.  Probably wouldn’t work in a ceiling fixture.  Well I guess it would, you’ll probably just burn your house down.

This is a sweet coffee table designed by Dylan Gold.  I don’t have a lot of book but I bet that would be a perfect spot for all my beer and gadget magazines.

Actually not… The Impossible Lamp by Jeeves Basu has been designed so that it initially melts to create the shade but after the shade has formed it doesn’t melt anymore.  Crazy, I know!

Switch on a lamp made of wax and it should melt and disintegrate in seconds. But due to the unique way it has been designed, the Impossible Lamp does not. It is a lamp made of wax that works without melting.

These are awesome.  Such a better use than just trashing your used ink cartridges.  You can get your own Ink-Cartridge Chandelier ($150) from the BoxLight Etsy store.

The translucent cartridges look fantastic as a hanging lamp. Each of these is carefully cracked open, dremel-ed, drilled, wired up, and turned into a glowing box of light! “Mandles” come in recycled Rogue Brewery beer bottles. Because men drink beer…and so do some awesome girls (I’m just saying). These bottles have been hand crafted in a studio full of power tools and beer, while Whitesnake plays in the background. The rim is sanded completely smooth, but even if they weren’t and you cut yourself, that would be fine, because you’re tough like that.

A lot of people are against plastic water bottles these days so here’s a nice alternative.  It’s the  Vapur Anti-bottle($9) and it’s a reusable BPA-free, foldable bottle that you can roll up when empty and stash back in your bag.

I actually think this is a pretty good idea especially for the outdoors types.  There’s an integrated carabiner to help it hang around, you can freeze it full of water and it will even go into the dishwasher on the top shelf. It has a small label allowing the bottle to be personalized with the user’s name. Perfect for outdoor using. Priced at $8.95 each, or $29.95 for a four-pack.  Great idea!

Have you ever had the urge to sit on 1600 pencils?  Me either… well at least not until I saw this.  Boex 3D Creative Solutions designed this bench inspired from a single conversation to see if they could incorporate an everyday office object into a piece of furniture.  Design wise I think it looks awesome but I still don’t think it will be very comfortable.
