It’s starting to warm up outside and that means it’s time to fire up the grill and make some man sized burgers!  The Stuffed Hamberger Press ($12) lets you create your own burger masterpiece guaranteed to put you in a food coma.  You simply fill each side with meat and press it to make a well that hold your fixins.  Then you press it together to close it up.  Simple as that!  Now you can make those kick ass burgers you’ve been craving… once you learn to stop burning everything.

When I saw these awesome glasses made by Bottlehood ($15+) I was instantly reminded of Mandles.  However, given the rediculous amounts of beer consumed at my place I think I’ll have way more of a use for these!  As you can see they are eco-friendly, “upcycled” glassware made from recycled wine, beer, soda and liquor bottles and you can get them in tumblers, juice glasses and vases.  It is pretty sweet to think you could be drinking that Dead Guy Ale from a glass that it was meant for.  Its like destiny or something…

A little birdie tells me that a couple of those tumblers will have a new home soon.

As it is now rediculously cold outside I decided going outside to get firewood sucked so I started searching for a fire would holder… and what did I find?  Well that would be Iron Design Company’s Firewood Holder ($360).  It has a killer design that definitely falls into that less is more category. I guess that’s required though since it’s made from one strip of steel.  Oh, and don’t worry, it features pine runners along the bottom to protect the floor.

They also make a really sweet Andiron.  Check out pictures of it and the Firewood Holder after the break.

As some of you may or may not know my “day job” is @ Matchbox Design Group where we use white boards everyday.  (usually for stick figures)  We’re currently in the process of moving offices and when we found this stuff we thought it was ingenious.  Instead of having to hang the white boards, frame them and make sure they’re level… Brent…. , you can just paint the wall with IdeaPaint ($30-$175).  Of course it can be used in places other than an office wall, say maybe the kitchen, garage, kid’s room or even your coffee table which I’ll be doing shortly.

That’s right, I just went there, but this thing is sweet!  Sometimes it’s the simplest things that stand out and this one is “Dishrack” created by DBA.  They worked really hard on that name…

A dense concentration of rods useful for holding cutlery and thin glassware fades evenly to a spacing large enough to accommodate bowls, plates and pans. A flexible mesh connects the posts, allowing the structure to be twisted open and rinsed. The excess water drains into a tray beneath, which can be easily emptied and cleaned. Both the main body and the tray are recycled polypropylene.

Well, I may be stretching that a bit given that it’s actually a candle but this Light Bulb Candle designed by Helbert Ferreira, Remi Melander of System Design STUDIO is a sweet piece of work.  It screws into a standard socket and looks like a real bulb.  Probably wouldn’t work in a ceiling fixture.  Well I guess it would, you’ll probably just burn your house down.

This is a sweet coffee table designed by Dylan Gold.  I don’t have a lot of book but I bet that would be a perfect spot for all my beer and gadget magazines.

Actually not… The Impossible Lamp by Jeeves Basu has been designed so that it initially melts to create the shade but after the shade has formed it doesn’t melt anymore.  Crazy, I know!

Switch on a lamp made of wax and it should melt and disintegrate in seconds. But due to the unique way it has been designed, the Impossible Lamp does not. It is a lamp made of wax that works without melting.
