The Stuffed Hamburger Press is NOT for Sissies

Monday, February 28th, 2011

It’s starting to warm up outside and that means it’s time to fire up the grill and make some man sized burgers!  The Stuffed Hamberger Press ($12) lets you create your own burger masterpiece guaranteed to put you in a food coma.  You simply fill each side with meat and press it to make a well that hold your fixins.  Then you press it together to close it up.  Simple as that!  Now you can make those kick ass burgers you’ve been craving… once you learn to stop burning everything.

This ain’t yo mama’s dishrack

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

That’s right, I just went there, but this thing is sweet!  Sometimes it’s the simplest things that stand out and this one is “Dishrack” created by DBA.  They worked really hard on that name…

A dense concentration of rods useful for holding cutlery and thin glassware fades evenly to a spacing large enough to accommodate bowls, plates and pans. A flexible mesh connects the posts, allowing the structure to be twisted open and rinsed. The excess water drains into a tray beneath, which can be easily emptied and cleaned. Both the main body and the tray are recycled polypropylene.
I’m pretty sure this would look kick ass on my counter.

The AntiBottle

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

A lot of people are against plastic water bottles these days so here’s a nice alternative.  It’s the  Vapur Anti-bottle($9) and it’s a reusable BPA-free, foldable bottle that you can roll up when empty and stash back in your bag.

I actually think this is a pretty good idea especially for the outdoors types.  There’s an integrated carabiner to help it hang around, you can freeze it full of water and it will even go into the dishwasher on the top shelf. It has a small label allowing the bottle to be personalized with the user’s name. Perfect for outdoor using. Priced at $8.95 each, or $29.95 for a four-pack.  Great idea! Read More

The Picture Table is a master of disguise

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

Do you need space in your tiny apartment but still want to be stylish?  Then you need the Picture Table ($1650). Created in Italy by designer Verena Lang, the Picture Table is mounted on a side wall for the eating part, but quickly attaches to the wall with three metal supports for the art/space saver part.  It kinda reminds me of the beds that fold into the wall but this is way cooler.

Now you can look like one of those fancy New York people. (No offense fancy New York people)

Fusion Silicon Finger Tongs: Puppets for your Bacon

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

So lets paint a picture… You’re cooking bacon.  Why bacon? Because it’s awesome, of course. Moving on…  You reach into the pan to flip that amazing piece of meat that you should have it’s own food group and BAM!  Not only do you make a mess with the grease but you burn the hell out of your hand.  Small price to pay you say?  I beg to differ.

You need the Fusion Silicon Finger Tongs ($18).  They keep your fingers safe, their non slip and they look like hand puppets.  What more you could you want in life?

The Butterball Turkey Fryer; so you don’t burn your house down

Butterball Turkey Fryer

Each year during the holidays we anticipate that perfectly cooked turkey waiting on the dinner table so we can stuff our face.  Unfortunately, since 98.67niner of us aren’t  Martha Stewart or Emeril, that dream is not always a reality.

Well the Butterball Turkey Fryer ($120) is here to save the day.  We’ve seen plenty of turkey fryer disasters but this is a safe and indoor-friendly fryer that can handle birds of up to 14 pounds with ease, and also features a digital timer, adjustable thermostat control, a fold-away lid with viewing window and built-in filter. The best part?  It also comes with removable basket for frying pretty much anything else like deep fried Twinkies .

Why is everything better when it’s fried?

Chalk Board Coffee Mug = Awesome!

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

If I drank coffee I would need this.  Actually I think I need it just to have, what’s another thing to clutter up my desk right?

Either way this ingenious mug is glazed with a chalk board surface allowing for easy-wipe messaging with a standard piece of chalk.
