11 Year Old Dunks (Adrian Moore)

Sunday, December 12th, 2010

So apparently this eleven year old from Little Rock, Arkansas can dunk.  I couldn’t dunk till I was 15.  That qualifies as Freakn’ Sweet in my book.

So…um…yeah. I am the sarcastic one, not the tech one, so this is out of my league.  So I quote Cool Pictures Cool Stuff:  ”For guitar and gadget lovers, this cool touchscreen guitar is a must! Misa Digital Guitar is essentially an innovative MIDI controller with a large multi-touch touchscreen display that controls the sound. There are no strings on this futuristic instrument; it is powered by the Linux operating system, has 24 frets, MIDI out, and an Ethernet port”

It’s all Creed to me.

Freakn’ Zombies!!!

Zombie

Hate zombies. Dirty, smelly, bloody, bitey and frankly can’t keep up a conversation on a date. One day the dead will rise, moan and somehow dominate human life while moving at only two miles an hour. How can we prepare? The zombie outbreak simulater at Class 3 Outbreak, with zombies roaming Washington D.C. on Google Maps.

The sim provides constant updates on the number of civilians, zombies, dead and outbreak class. Outbreaks can be personalized by changing the “infection settings” including speed, infection time, police and more. Remember to run and aim for the head.

I for one welcome our new zombie overlords.

Is the Wii for the girls? Kinda…

Monday, November 30th, 2009

With the increasing popularity of Wii today more and more people are loosing interest in other forms of video games. In fact, of all the female console players around 80%, about 9 million play the Wii. Nintendo owns the female market because of the big 80% female players of Wii while only 20% is split between Xbox 360 and PS3. Games on Wii and DS are inclined more towards girls. It wouldn’t be surprising to know that thousands of moms who bought the Wii for their sons use Wii fit themselves.

Yes we know what you’re thinking… We mainly posted this because that chick is hot!

Tony Hawk RIDE Rolls Into Stores

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

How the Tony Hawk video game franchise keeps chugging along is beyond me.  It’s kinda like those SAW movies that never seem to end.

We first heard about Tony Hawk RIDE back in May when they were showing off the “skateboard” controller for the 10th edition in the in the Tony Hawk family.  See it up there?  I really hope you don’t have to push the buttons while your playing cause that looks like it could suck.  The game hit shelves on Tuesday and is available for the PS3, 360 and the Wii.

If anyone has already grabbed it, let us know what you think. You can also check out the full press release here.

America’s favorite Rock Band band is heading to NYC

Advance Into Overdrive

Yeah I know that sounds like a typo but its not. It’s Rock Band as in the game, the one that turns you and your friends into living room rock stars. Anyway, you may remember us telling you about the Energizer “Advance into Overdrive” contest a couple weeks ago.  Well, if you don’t then let me give you the cliffnotes.  Energizer and Rock Band teamed up to find America’s Favorite Rock Band Band and the winner gets to play a at the MTV store in Time Square for 20 FREAKN’ HOURS!

jimmy_twinkle_and_the_badSounds crazy I know, but I think it’s awesome and so do the four guys from Grand Rapids, Mich.  that won.  The Rock Band band Jimmy Twinkle and the BAD get the total rock star treatment as they travel to New York on Nov. 13th for their Rock Band marathon.

“We are just four average guys from Grand Rapids, so to be treated like rock stars is absolutely a dream come true,” said Jimmy Paauwe, lead singer of Jimmy Twinkle and the BAD.  “We are grateful to our fans for helping us get this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.  We cannot wait to rock out Times Square.”

More than 115 bands competed for the chance to play.  I still just can’t imagine playing for 20 hours straight.  I would have torn it up on those Rock Band drums too.

Check out the full press release after the break. Read More
