Microsoft’s Arc Keyboard. It’s sexy!

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

I haven’t bought a keyboard in a really long time but I might have to pick this one up from Best Buy.  They Arc Keyboard ($59.95) was announced by Microsoft at CES and is going to be exclusively at Best Buy (at least initially).  Like the Arc Mouse, this keyboard is slim and pretty stylish, and relatively light on any extra features, although you will get a 2.4GHz wireless receiver that can be tucked away in the keyboard, and at least a few extra function keys.

Don’t know about you but I’ll be looking for this one February 21st. (that’s when it come out)

OK, probably not but it would definitely be sweet.  We’ve seen other gaming environment before but I think this kinda takes the cake.  Very Grandma’s Boy-ish.  This is the Emperor 1510 gaming and workstation.  It’s a stainless steel enclosure that can be tricked out with three screens, surround sound, adjustable seat and leg rests, an adjustable keyboard tray, inputs for a Mac or PC, and can recline up to 15 degrees.  You get this beast with all kinds of customizations such as paint or a cup holder in the keyboard tray.  Depending on how much you load it up, itll run you $5,000 to $10,000. Pre-orders start today so “go get you some” or one from NovelQuest.

You might think you’re looking at the PC of the future, but this prototype by BMW, DesignworksUSA, and computer case and fanmaker Thermaltake exists now. “Level 10″ is on display at CeBIT, the world’s largest computer expo going on now in Hanover, Germany.

We’re guessing that hidden among all that stunning paraphernalia are connecting cables, and maybe even liquid cooling pipes. But then, with such an open design, perhaps ventilation is enhanced enough to be beyond needing such exotica as liquid cooling.

What a brilliant idea
