Whether you’re a pirate, my sister or pre-gaming for Mardi Gras next weekend, chances are you’re a fan of rum.  Let me introduce you to a new friend… just in time for the weekend too.  Say hello to Cruzan Single Barrel Estate Rum ($30).  This wonderful creation is a handcrafted blend of multiple different rums aged up to 12 years old. Single Barrel is blended and then aged further in a new charred oak barrel for another year, giving the libation a terrific golden brown color and smooth, complex taste with notes of pepper, wood, and caramel.  I know I’m nerding out but whatever, now I’m thirsty…
