So what have we missed? A lot…

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

As I’m sure you’ve noticed (cause some of you have asked) we haven’t been on top of our posts as usual.  Well that is mainly do to the fact that we have big kid jobs that pay us and we’ve all been swamped lately.  Not to mention that I had to nurse a week long hangover thanks to Mardi Gras but that’s a story in and of it’s self.

So yeah… here’s some things from around the web that we wanted to post but didn’t because we were to busy.

I know there was way more than that but that should give you a jump start.

Facebook for iPhone gets an update

Monday, January 11th, 2010

If you haven’t heard yet, the Facebook app for iPhone jumped to Version 3.1 last week.  You now get push notifications as well as the ability to sync your friends to the iPhone address book.  I wish Android did that.  Anyway, it adds their profile pictures to the contact info.

If you haven’t picked it up yet head over to the app store to get it…. NOW!!!

Facial Profiler Helps You Find Your Twin

Facial Profiler

Have you ever been told that you have a twin out there?  Not sure about your story but I grew up in South East Oklahoma which is no where near St. Louis and I constantly see peoples twins up here. Well now you can find your twin using a new Facebook app.

Coca-Cola’s Coke Zero has begun conducting a “worldwide social experiment” with the launch of a Facebook application called the Facial Profiler. This new app sets forth to answer the question, “Is it possible someone out there has your face?”

Using the Facial Profiler, you can either upload a picture of yourself from your computer or take a snapshot using your webcam. Then after aligning the picture to an outline and marking your eye placement with the built-in editor, the program goes to work. It compares your image to others submitted in the application’s database and uses similar software used by law-enforcement to quickly come up with a match. Then you have the option to contact your match on Facebook.

It gave me a 61% match on the photo I uploaded.  I wasn’t too impressed but at the same time it’s pretty new.  I’m sure that it will get better as more people start to use it. Some of the other posted face matches on the Facial Profiler were pretty impressive
